He was just a general geek, he liked videogames, computers and new of comic book characters but had never read one ever. So this nerd went to his local comic shop and told the purveyor of paper that he was a geek but was looking to expand into full on nerd by reading his first comic. He handed this newfound nerd "Countdown to Infinite Crisis" and he loved it. And now it is time once again for this anonymous nerd to expand his horizons. Doctor Who is not new by any means but he is new to me. And seeing that I am currently in the summer TV drought I thought that I might as well see what all the hub bub is about. For those of you not in the know a quick search of wikipedia has informed me of this:
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The programme depicts the adventures of a mysterious and eccentric humanoid alien known as the Doctor who travels through time and space in his spacecraft, the TARDIS (an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space), which normally appears from the exterior to be a blue 1950s British police box. With his companions, he explores time and space, faces a variety of foes, and rights wrongs.
So this show has been around for 5 decades... thats a lot to catch up on so I have to get going... Here is the trailer for the latest season that is about to end on BBC America.
